Engineering Ambassador - 2019/Present

During the beginning of my sophomore year of college, I was offered a position as an Engineering Ambassador for the University of Utah’s College of Engineering. Working under the dean’s office, I currently act as a liaison to the Community Outreach Program for the EAE-Games major, imploring high school students to seek higher education.

My typical responsibilities include recruitment and outreach endeavors, employing verbal communication skills to deliver speeches, and designing interactive activities for middle and high school students.

GApp Lab Producer - 2021

During the Summer of 2021, I worked on a VR Foley Catheter Insertion project designed to reinforce concepts taught to nursing students in the University of Utah’s College of Nursing Basic Simulation Lab. For this project, I was hired as a producer and acted as a liaison between our partners in the College of Nursing, and my project managers in the GApp Lab. I was responsible for scoping out our team’s development cycle, tracking tasks to ensure we met sprint deadlines, creating wrap kits, and organizing and running playtests with College of Nursing students.

In my second semester at the lab, I worked as a producer on a Virtual Social Worker Trainer platform in partnership with the University of Utah’s College of Social Work.

LEAP Peer Advisor, Summer Leader, & Senior Peer Advisor - 2019/2020

During my sophomore year of college I worked as a Peer Advisor for the LEAP Program, connecting first-year students to campus resources while acting as an in class resource for the Social and Ethical Engineering LEAP course. Additionally, I managed the staffing of the LEAP house to ensure Peer Advisors were available to assist students 5 days a week from 5-8 PM.

During the summer before and after my sophomore year, I worked as a LEAP Summer Leader, pitching LEAP classes to incoming University of Utah first-year students both physically and virtually. My responsibilities included registering first-year students for Fall semester classes and coordinating with academic advisors to encourage effective degree planning.

A year later, as a Senior Peer Advisor for the LEAP Program, I worked as part of a team of four to manage the ~20 Peer Advisors in the cohort. My responsibilities involved running meetings, directing activities, and overseeing the project management of LEAP services and events.

Solace - 2019

In 2019 I created and designed Solace, a two-player strategy board game where players had to survive and recolonize a planet in order to save a galaxy facing overpopulation and dwindling resources.

While Solace was never officially launched, it was prototyped and playtested rigorously during its development cycle.
